The Ask Jeeves UK team is seeking a passionate, focused, creative, and driven individual to successfully innovate, manage and design products for our UK site. The ideal candidate will be committed to innovation for the UK users and have real world experience in delivering products that provide the best user experience. The selected candidate will own UK-specific product requirements as well as, coordination of the localising global projects to the UK market. This position will also assume ownership of UK product partnerships for a given set of products.
Requirements:
- Strong product management and product development background in the Search space with proven ability to deliver on time and with the right product.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills and understanding of search business metrics, such as frequency, retention, etc. Use of these data points as well as a strong understanding of internet trends and search market in the UK should drive new product ideas and ideas for ways to improve existing product.
- Successful track record in leading cross-functional and distributed teams, such as engineering, QA, marketing, customer support, business development and external partners through the product life cycle.
- Strong knowledge of UK culture, history and current trends.
- Ideal candidate has had project management and development leadership experience before transitioning into a product management role.
- Proven ability to prioritize development pipeline and maximize market opportunities.
- Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural distributed environment.
- Outstanding, proactive, and concise communication skills.
- Degree in computer science or equivalent.

Role: Marketing And Strategic Projects Analyst |

The Ask Jeeves UK team is seeking an energetic, bright and ambitious individual to help find ways of growing the UK business from our market research team. The ideal candidate needs to be enthusiastic about the internet, have strong analytical skills and be comfortable working with the company's senior managers.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Carry out background research into potential growth areas for Ask Jeeves using our internal data systems and external subscriber sources. These strategic-related projects will allow the candidate to work directly with the European MD and head of UK product. Good examples are a) “Who are our users” – analysis to segment our user base into meaningful groups (what do they search for, how frequently, etc.) and b) “What companies should we strategically align ourselves to?”.
- Carry out analysis of current marketing initiatives(e.g., tv campaigns) workingout the impact they had on new visitors, which demographic group they hit and how well we retain these new users.
- Compile regular reports that cover revenue and queries and comment on deviations vs plans and forecasts.
Skills / Experience:
- Experienced in quantitative analysis, preferably with either a degree in a quantitative subject (e.g., Engineering, Maths, the Sciences, Economics, Finance, Management) or have become used to applying GCSE–level (and occasionally A–level) Maths to workplace problems.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Any SQL or internet programming skills (desirable not essential).
